Bleeding gums and its cure…..!
Bleeding gums is a sign of poor
oral health. Patients usually experience gum bleeding during brushing their
teeth, spiting especially during morning, while biting on apple or similar
foods and many more.
There are many causes of bleeding
gums but the most common cause is formation of plaque and tartar on the teeth
surfaces near the gum line. These things irritate the gums and cause swelling
and redness of the gums which eventually bleed while brushing, spiting and chewing
food. Many times the patient feels bad taste as well as bad breath due the
presence of blood.
Bleeding gums is often the sign
of an underlying gum disease like gingivitis, periodontitis (pyorrhea),
deficiency of vitamin C, underlying skin disease, underlying blood disease and
many more.
One home remedy for bleeding gums
is using small amount of alum with water to gargle two times a day which
provides some relief. Also, patients can apply a small amount of catechu mixed
with water over the gums for 2 to 3 times a day.
The best treatment of bleeding gums is professional teeth cleaning which removes the plaque and tartar from the teeth. Your dentist will examine your gums and teeth, will arrive at a diagnosis and will provide the best possible treatment for bleeding gums.
